【３年生はいま（９月）】

　今日は、夏休みを終えた３年生の今の様子をお伝えしたいと思います。ほとんどの部活動が１学期で活動を終え、２年生１年生に引き継ぎをしました。また、３年生の努力でとんぼ祭はコロナ下でも何とか７月初旬に開催できましたが、日々の生徒会活動は現在下級生に引き継がれています。夏休みには補習授業に参加し、さらに、自身の力を試すための模擬試験も受けてきました。現在、保護者を交えての懇談も適宜行われています。

　３年生はそれぞれが進路実現に向けて、一歩一歩着実に歩みを進めています。授業に精一杯取り組んでいる姿は美しくもあります。

　９月９日（木）のLHRでは大学共通テストの受験票の書き方を、各教室に配信された映像と音声で確認していました。大学入試センターが作成した説明動画を見たり、クラウド上の共通ファイルを参照したりしながら、国語科の尾崎先生の説明にしたがって願書の記入をしていました。生徒たちの真剣な眼差しが印象的でした。

　ちなみに、「大学入学共通テスト」は令和２年度までの「大学入試センター試験」に代わるもので、現３年生が受験する令和４年度入試においては、９月27日から出願が始まります。試験は令和４年１月15日（土）と16日（日）の二日間にわたってマークシート方式で行われ、１日目は地歴公民、国語、外国語が、二日目は理科、数学が予定されています。

　３年生のここまでの姿や、今後の取り組み予定などについて、進路指導係の仲林聖先生（外国語科）にお聞きしました。

　「大学入学共通テストの出願から受験シーズンが本格的にスタートします。今年の３年生は、コロナ禍の混沌とした日々を乗り越え、頼もしさを感じています。進路室も、学校推薦型、総合型、一般受験の全てを、ワンチームでサポートしていきたいと思っています」と、力強く語っていただきました。

　新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大にともない、ここまでなかなか想定通りの高校生活を描けなかった生徒もいるからこそ、一人一人の生徒の進路実現に向けて、学校としても精一杯の支援をしていきたいと思っています。

　ところで、今回のLHRでの願書記入に当たっては、本校に導入したばかりの映像配信システムを活用しました。一つの教室から３年生の全教室に向けて、一人の先生が機械操作をしながら動画配信や説明をし、各教室の電子黒板から簡単に映像と音声が流れる、その簡便さにも感動しました。

This is mid-September.  Today, let me tell you how the third-year students are doing now at school.

   They held their school festival and almost finished their club activities in July, leaving everything to their juniors.  They attended the supplementary lessons at school in the summer vacation, and also had the practice exams to test their scholastic achievements.  Some of them have had meetings with teachers and parents to discuss their future careers at school.

   All of them are now working hard to achieve their short-term goals at hand.  They look somewhat beautiful to me when they study hard in the classroom.

   On the 9th of September, they learned how to write the application for the national preliminary examinations for university applicants.  They watched the information video by the National Exam Center, and listened carefully to a teacher explaining how to fill in the form in the classroom.

   The revised National Center Test will take place on the 15th and 16th of January next year.  On the 15th, they will have exams in social studies, Japanese, English etc., and on the 16th in science and mathematics.

   Mr. Nakabayashi Satoshi in the career guidance office says,

   “The application to the National Center Exam is a sort of kickoff of the so-called ‘exam season’ for high school students.  The seniors this year look to me so reliable and dependable since they have got through and over this Covid-19 period.  All the staff members in the career guidance room will do our best with the other teachers to support the students in accordance with their own plan to tackle this important situation.”

   To make the students’ dreams come true, I reaffirmed that all of us working at school should put all the more energy for the difficult situation under COVID-19.

   By the way, on the day of their trial writing of the application form we used a newly-introduced broadcasting system where a teacher was engaged in voice and data communications from a room to certain classrooms.  I was moved to see the teacher operating the system quite easily and see the students watch him on the screen in each classroom in a comfortable manner.
