新型コロナウイルス感染症の終息は未だ見通せず、長野県でも連日３０人から４０人程度の新規感染者が発表されている状況ですが、感染症対策には最大限配慮しながらも学校教育活動はできる限り行っています。

　４月５日（月）には、新任の職員を生徒に紹介する「新任式」、引き続いて「一学期の始業式」が行われ、翌６日（火）には、晴天の下「入学式」を挙行し、３２６名の新入生を迎えました。

　７日（水）には、在校生が新入生を迎えいれる「対面式」を、その後、「歌の練習（新入生が校歌など学校ゆかりの歌を覚えるもの）」も、日程や参加者を分散して様々な配慮の下行われました。

　これら行事のいくつかは、学校のＨＰでも紹介されていますが、詳細については追ってこのブログでも取り上げたいと思っています。

　今日は、こうした教育活動を支えていただいている方を紹介します。「教員業務支援員」の「中村さつき」さんです。事務室の一員として、文字通り学校の教員の業務をほぼ毎日支援していただいている方です。

　「業務支援員」は、新型コロナウイルス感染症予防に関して国・県が予算付けしたもので、小中学校なども含めて一定規模の学校に配置されている方で、主には生徒・職員の感染予防のための消毒作業や印刷業務補助などを行っていただいています。地道な仕事で目立ちませんが、日々生徒が安心安全に校内で生活できるよう、また少しでも教員の業務負担が軽減されるよう日々仕事をしていただいている縁の下の力持ちのような存在です。

　中村さんからは次のようなコメントをいただいています。

　「毎日、校内を消毒していると、多くの先生方・生徒と出会います。『いつもありがとうございます』と声を掛けて下さる方がたくさんいます。（気に掛けて下さりありがとうございます!!）　地味で、意外と体力も使うこの仕事ですが、皆からのその一言で『よし！頑張ろう！』とポジティブな気持ちになれます。言葉は不思議な力を持っていますね。

　コロナという未知の事態の中で、皆が毎日笑顔で安心して学校生活を送れますように微力ながらお役に立てれば幸いです。

生徒の皆さんと接する機会がほとんど無く、寂しいので、校内で見かけた際には　気軽に声を掛けてもらえたらとっても嬉しいです！　よろしくお願いします。」

　こうした方の援助があってはじめて学校教育活動が成り立っていることに、改めて感謝したいと考えています。

While there is no telling when COVID19 will come to an end all over the world, a daily total of 30 to 40 newly infected is reported in Nagano prefecture these days.

   In these circumstances, all educational activities at Fukashi are to be conducted in as normal a manner as possible with caution, our school decides.

   On the 5th of April, a ceremony was held to introduce new teachers to the students, followed by the opening ceremony for the 1st school term with the principal’s speech. 

   On the 6th a total of 326 new first-year students attended the entrance ceremony, and the next day, all the freshmen were warmly welcomed by the juniors and seniors in a ceremony in the school ground.

   Today let me tell you about Ms. NAKAMURA, who works at school to help teachers and students lead nice and safe school lives.  She comes every day to support them with a lot of small but important business, such as printing study materials for the students and cleaning desks and staircases to prevent infection.

   She said, “While I’m doing my job in school, many of the teachers and students who see me say, ‘Thank you so much for your job every day,’ which makes me feel good and positive, and keep doing an unglamorous but robust work.  Words have magical power.”

   “I will be glad to help you all to lead a secure school life with a smile.  Please feel free to talk to me when you see me doing my job at school, since I have little chance to have actual contact with you.”

   We should be reminded of how our school activities go well with the help of these supporters who do a lot of work behind the curtain.
